The 66000DWT bulk carrier built by YAMIC for Singaporean shipowner Successfully Delivered

On January 23, the fourth new generation 66000 DWT Ultramax bulk carrier “UTHITA NAREE” built by YAMIC for Singapore shipowner departed from the shipyard wharf and started her maiden voyage.

The construction period of the “UTHITA NAREE” was approximately 9 months. The vessel conducted her massive steel cutting in mid-April 2025 and successfully completed its sea trial in early December, with all performance indicators better than the design standards.

On January 19, YAMIC held a grand naming ceremony for the vessel. The godmother, Ms. Somprathana Thepnapaplern, Vice President of Finance of PSL, Ms. Sirasa Supawasin, Vice President of Legal of PSL, Mr. Suresh Kumar, CEO of JALDHI, Mr. Hiroshi Shibako, Regional Manager of NK China, Mr. Song Shuming, Deputy General Manager of YZJ Group and CEO of YAMIC, Mr. Koichiro Fuki, COO of YAMIC, Mr. Yuji Ishimaru, CFO of YAMIC, Mr. Chen Guoqiang, Vice President of YAMIC, as well as representatives from all cooperation parties and employees, attended the naming ceremony.

The godmother, Ms. Somprathana Thepnapaplern named the new vessel “UTHITA NAREE”. Firecrackers and fireworks went off, whistles sounded. Wish the new vessel safe and smooth voyages, bringing good luck, creating wealth to the buyers, earning honor for NK and YAMIC.

On January 19, 2026, both parties signed the delivery documents for the “UTHITA NAREE”, marking the successful completion of this project.Wish her a safe voyage, a full load and smooth sailing!
