Safety Education and Training Center
To strengthen employees' knowledge and skills in production safety, the company has set up aSafety Education and Training Center with professional instructors, formulates annual training plans, and strictly implements three-level safety education for new employees as well as cyclic training on safety for key positions and operations. In addition to completing safety education upon yard entry, all workshops and teams adhere to the "Three Musts", which are “Must afterhands-on training”, “Must be guided by masters” and “Must pass skills assessment”. Meanwhile, safety cyclic training is carried out every six months for all employees, and safety skills refresher training is implemented quarterly for key positions like crane operators, coating sprayers, outfitting workers, scaffolders, grinders, etc. For management positions, training and assessment on safety knowledge, skills and laws/regulations are regularly organized.
Safety Experience Center
In light of the characteristics of shipbuilding production, the company continues to innovate safety training models by establishing a safety hands-on experience training center with facilities for crane hoisting operation, confined space operation, high fall protection, safety helmet impact, electric shock, ladder slip, etc. By conducting targeted hands-on training for new employees and specific job positions, the onsite safety skills of employees are further enhanced and risks of operations are experienced first-hand, so that safety awareness can truly transform from "You want me to be safe" to "I want to be safe".
