The 80000DWT self-unloading bulk carrier “CSL KANATA” built by YAMIC for Canadian shipowner Successfully Delivered

On 21 December, the second 80000 DWT self-unloading bulk carrier “CSL KANATA” built by YAMIC for Canadian shipowner departed from the shipyard wharf and started her maiden voyage.



The “CSL KANATA” measures 229.00m in length, 32.26m in breadth, 20.15m in depth with design draft of 14.40m, and was constructed in accordance with the rules and regulations of ABS. The vessel conducted her massive steel cutting in late October 2024, keel laid in mid-April 2025, launched in late June, and successfully completed its sea trial On 23 November, with all performance indicators better than the design standards.

On 18 December, Mr. Andrew Lennox, representing the shipowner, Mr. Song Shuming, Deputy General Manager of YZJ Group and CEO of YAMIC, and Mr. Yuji Ishimaru, CFO of YAMIC, jointly signed the delivery documents for the vessel “CSL KANATA”.
