Hartmann, the naming ceremony today signifies the first gas carrier project of YAMIC has been accomplished successfully and delivered 17 days ahead of contract delivery date with support and collaboration of all the parties. We have gained a lot of valuable construction experiences from this project. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Captain Adami, Mr. IC, Mr. Long, and every dedicated site team member, for their immeasurable support. We would like to thank DNV as well for their diligent work, expert advice and steadfast commitment to safety and quality standards during the construction of the vessel. We would like to thank the classification society DNV as well for their diligent work, expert advice and steadfast commitment to safety and quality standards during the construction of the vessel. Meanwhile, I would like to thank all YAMIC members who contributed to this vessel, I'm very honored working with you together. The cooperation between YAMIC and Hartmann is steadily progressing, with the second project--three 36K LEG carriers under orderly construction, and the third project in the design stage. We value our close partnership with Hartmann team and look forward to expanding our collaboration in the future. YAMIC is committed to continuous improvement in safety, quality and client’s satisfaction, among all the parties involved in the construction, to build more safer, greener, high-performance vessels for our respected shipowner. We are dedicated to be the safest and most professional green ship builders of this beautiful planet.
Mr. Ulrich Adami delivered a speech on behalf of HARTMANN:
How efficient and environmental friendly these vessels are showing the sisters Gaschem Europe and Gaschem America built and delivered for operation by YAMIC already. For sure this vessel will follow and this is only possible with the collaboration of the excellent teams at YAMIC, the classification society DNV and HARTMANN. During the whole design and building phase we always had the feeling that all involved worked together in friendship manner and this was giving the great success. The trust built up during the cooperation in the yard was the solid foundation to order three more 36K ethylene/ethane carriers and three 25K LPG/Ammonia carriers more with YAMIC. I am also very proud that we as Hartmann group could add a small cornerstone by the huge development of YAMIC on their way to become a leading gas carrier shipyard.
The Godmother, Ms. Long Yi named the ship "GASCHEM AFRICA" and broke the champagne with a toast. Firecrackers and fireworks went off, whistles sounded, dragons and lions danced together. Wish the new vessel and its crews to sail safely, bringing honor to the builder and good luck and wealth to the shipowner.
The signing ceremony of “GASCHEM AFRICA” was completed on September 11th. With the delivery of the vessel, the first batch of cooperation projects between YAMIC and HARTMANN Group was successfully completed.
