On December 31, 2022, "Top 100 Chinese Shipping Figures 2022" co-selected by China Communications and Shipping Report and ShippingChina.com was officially released. The list includes 37 shipping company executives, 15 port management personnel, 8 shipbuilding and marine engineering personnel, and 40 others from shipping finance, logistics, technology, maritime law and insurance, maritime academies and think tanks as well as various shipping services.

Mr. Ren Letian, Chairman of Yangzijiang Group, is shortlisted for the third consecutive year since 2020.

The Top 100 Chinese Shipping Figures was first released in December 2014 and has received extensive attention from national transport authorities, shipping professionals, authoritative media and capital market. The list aims to discover shipping elites that align with the national strategies and contribute to the high-quality future development of China's shipping industry. Based on major shipping news and events reported domestically and abroad in 2022, the initial candidates are selected through editorial review and industry nomination. The finalists and rankings are determined by the organizing committee's evaluation and suggestions from industry experts, taking into account factors like news values, industry impact, leadership and contribution of the candidates.
