On the afternoon of June 26, Qi Zhenyu, Member of CPC Taicang Municipal Committee, Deputy Secretary of Taicang Port Economic and Technological Development Zone Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of Taicang Port Management Committee visited YAMIC. Mr. Song Shuming, Vice President of Yangzijiang Group and General Manager of YAMIC briefed on the new vessel design, orderbook composition, construction progress of the first 40,000m³ LPG carrier, internal improvements, and future 3-5 year development plan and outlook.

Committee Member Qi Zhenyu visited the shipyard and was briefed on production safety, shipbuilding techniques, welding automation, key equipment for gas carriers, and this year's targets. He was also updated on the challenges and bottlenecks encountered during YAMIC's rapid growth. He expressed the municipal government and port authority's continuous support for YAMIC's high-quality development, and encouraged YAMIC to strengthen R&D efforts on high-level vessels, enhance capabilities and contribute more to the port area's high-level equipment manufacturing industry.

So far this year, YAMIC has secured orders for 24 newbuildings worth around US$1.1 billion. Its orderbook stands at around US$2.2 billion (RMB 15 billion), with full production load until first half 2027.
